'Mathar' is Yellow Productions' 27th release of 2024, part of a run that has reached 39 for the label this year. The Extended, filed as Afro House, came out on the label in April, and Sabo placed it 20th of 20 in his Summer Solstice Chart on 21 June.

It marks Bob Sinclar and Africanism's first release on Yellow Productions since 'Lala Song', in the Remixes, a gap of two days. Bob Sinclar's catalogue runs to 63 releases since November 2005, weighted heavily toward Yellow Productions itself, which accounts for 27 of them. The mix stays balanced between percussion and harmony, with a steady percussive surface throughout. It sits loud, with the peaks held tight, and the top end pitches between bright and dark, a full, driving read built for a big room. Landing dead last in a chart of 20 is a rare miss for a catalogue putting out records only two days apart.
