Boddhi Satva 'Kilifa Yaram' on Offering Recordings

Offering Recordings says 'Kilifa Yaram (Far But Close)' "captures the pain and beauty of a love that endures despite the challenges of distance," sung in Wolof over Afro house rhythms. Boddhi Satva has released on labels including Innervisions, Defected, ITH and Armada Electronic Elements over the years, and his last one before this was 'Salsa House', on Yellow Productions, back in July, a separate label entirely.
Kilifa Yaram runs mostly on its drums, light and spare throughout its entire length, and never once crowds the mix along the way. It is a drum-led Afro house cut, in the Inst Mix, out now on Offering Recordings at a slower, more patient tempo built for late, unhurried hours rather than a rush.

Rooted in the rich sounds of Afro-house and infused with heartfelt lyricism in Wolof, the track is a contemporary reflection of long-distance love in the digital age - where WhatsApp calls and video screens replace touch, yet emotions remain as raw as ever.
