Cortona 'PeekaBoo' on District Rec

District Rec's own note for Cortona's 'PeekaBoo' reads, "Cortona brings us 2 originals, we are big fan of his work." The release, filed as Progressive House, arrived on District Rec on 18 Apr 2025, and Deep Dish placed it ninth of 19 on the Deep Dish Dreaming Chart on 10 Jul.

Percussion does more work than harmony on 'PeekaBoo', built around a busy drum figure that keeps the track moving throughout. The mix holds a moderate level while staying tight against its own peaks, and a top end with plenty of air keeps things light rather than heavy. It plays lean and rhythmic, drum-led throughout.

Cortona was last covered on 21 February, with 'Xtaci' on Bedrock Records, and 'PeekaBoo' lands as Lisbon and Berlin move through high summer. Beside it on Deep Dish's own chart sits Goom Gum and Dancing on Lego's 'Before My Eyes' in the Super Flu Remix, on Monaberry, at 14th, a record covered on 8 Mar.
