DERON, HUGEL, La Payara 'Coge El Paso' on Defected
'Coge El Paso' marks Defected's sixth release of 2025, matching the label's full count so far this year, timed to the last weeks of Tulum's season. The Extended Mix is credited to DERON, HUGEL and La Payara. It is filed as Afro House and set for release on 7 March. HUGEL placed his own record first of 10 in his Coge El Paso Chart on 28 February.
Defected introduced it saying, "HUGEL returns to Defected Records alongside house riser DERON for 'Coge El Paso' featuring La Payara." The mix leans harder on drum than chord, without much movement across the percussion, held back with some give beneath the peaks and a middling top end. Topping a chart named for the very track is as direct a result as a debut can register.
