Double Drop, Koraya, WAZIMBEX$ 'Uber' on Xibalo

Hyenah placed 'Uber' ninth of 19 on the More Love, Less Crisis Charts chart on 5 September, then was on the bill at Chinois Ibiza the next day for The Ritual with Anané and Louie Vega, a night that also carried DJ Pippi and Joe Claussell. Double Drop, Koraya and WAZIMBEX$'s Afro House record on Xibalo has been out since 25 August, timed for the closing weeks of the Ibiza season.

Percussion sits out in front here: a busy, detailed surface drives the track while the level stays restrained enough to keep its own headroom, and plenty of light up top keeps the mix from ever turning heavy. It is an energetic, percussion led piece of production, the kind built specifically for a room already moving.

Hyenah's chart also carried 'Mawu' by Renate, Presi On and Augusto Yepes on Abracadabra Music at 13th. 'Uber' is one of three releases from Double Drop since 30 October 2020, all on My Other Side of the Moon; the most recent before this was 'Mozambican All Stars' on the same label on 10 December 2021, and this one keeps that run going.
