Enzo Siffredi, Makadem, Bayaka (IT), and Ojibo Afrobeat join forces on 'Igobi Keke' in the Rework, released via Bayaka Records on 9 June 2023. The release arrives in time for the Afro house season, when Lisbon and Berlin are in high summer, and was picked up by GoldFish on 19 June, placed sixth of ten in their chart.

The track runs at a comfortable 125 BPM, the fastest of the 12 Afro house records this week, whose tempos run from 120 to 125 BPM. Siffredi's production is unhurried, with drums and chords weighing equally in the mix, a temperate level with a fair amount of give under the peaks, and a shaded top end that keeps the energy rolling without ever sounding harsh. It is a record that does not push; it pulls, with a percussion line that stays loose and a groove that settles in for the long run.

'Igobi Keke' in the Rework is the latest in a steady stream of releases from Siffredi, who has 27 to his name since 20 April 2012, mostly on Defected, King Street Sounds, DFTD, and Great Stuff Recordings. His most recent before this was 'Easy Peasy' on Colore, 23 April 2021.
