MAHOOL says Fred Lenix's 'Katakomben' EP, out in the Extended Mix, promises to "envelop listeners in a shadowy, hypnotic experience," on tracks including the title cut and 'Sogno'. Fred Lenix has released mostly through Truesoul, ATLANT and UPPERGROUND across the years, and his last one before this was 'Special Is My Mind (Fred Lenix Remix)', on Stripped Recordings, back in June. MAHOOL itself was last heard from on 18 January, with CamelPhat's 'Running Man'.

Katakomben runs mostly on its drums, spacious and unhurried throughout its entire length, and it never once crowds the mix. It is a drum-driven melodic house and techno cut, running at 127 BPM, and it matches the label's own description of a "shadowy, hypnotic experience" rather closely.

The label said

Fred Lenix, one of the rising stars in the melodic house & techno scene, is set to unleash his latest EP, Katakomben, on MAHOOL. This EP, as you’d expect from Fred, delves into the deeper, darker realms with two enthralling tracks. The title track, "Katakomben," and "Sogno" both promise to envelop listeners in a shadowy, hypnotic experience setting.

Fred Lenix has already made significant waves in the industry, most notably with his hit collaboration with ARTBAT, "Dreamcatcher," which solidified his place among the greats. He has also graced multiple UPPERGROUND shows, including a massive performance at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu stadium, further showcasing his ability to captivate large audiences.

Katakomben is poised to be a defining release, cementing Fred Lenix’s status as a formidable force in the House & Techno landscape and as an important addition to the MAHOOL family.
