Gai Barone 'Macula' on Univack

Gai Barone's 'Macula', in the Extended Mix, is Univack's fourth release of 2026, with 18 so far this year. The track was released on 23 January, filed as Progressive House, and Khen placed it ninth of 10 in his 'Khen's Retro Chart' chart on 23 April.

Univack was last covered on 26 November, with HAFT's 'Paper Tiger'. The release follows Gai Barone's 'Raspberry Porridge / Orbital Entry / Pixelfish' on Univack, released 26 December 2025, a gap of 28 days.

The track splits evenly between its percussion and its harmony, running through many hits to the beat at a level that sits up with the peaks barely clear. Its top end stays airy throughout, giving the mix a light, open lift.
