Haen 'Sand Carnival' on Sound Avenue

Sound Avenue have released Haen's 'Sand Carnival,' their 17th release of 2023 on Beatport. It is a progressive house track with a percussion-forward groove.

The percussion sound is out in front, holds a regular figure at a middling level with little movement, and has a temperate top end. The track's melodic content includes a single line that unfolds slowly, initially at a low volume, with a tentative, questioning character. A broad, warm pad joins later, adding weight and colour. As the track progresses, the melodic line gains confidence, becoming more defined and rising in the mix, eventually revealing itself as the main theme. The track's arrangement is patient, letting the groove and percussion hold interest while the melodic elements develop over time.

'Sand Carnival' arrives as part of a series of releases from the label, and has been charted by Amonita in their ULETAI CHART, placed sixth of 12.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint presents the sixth installment of it's 'Correlation' series. Released in August of 2017, the inaugural edition featured a unique blend of untapped talent along with industry veterans, resulting in a cohesive fusion of artists from across the world. The label's borderless music policy was also well represented, showcasing a wide spectrum of electronica, from organic house to melodic house and deeper progressive grooves. Released in 2020, the label's third edition landed with resounding success, as the lead selection 'Kafka' by Ercos Blanka racked up over two and a half million Spotify plays across the year. In past editions, Sound Avenue has kept the track selection concise, with an average of just ten submissions making the final release. The continued growth of label affiliates 3rd Avenue, Crossfade Sounds, and Future Avenue have propelled the label's demo submissions exponentially across the last years. Add to that, a continually expanding music policy, and the 2023 edition of ‘Correlation' was finalized with fourteen selections. Added to the label's club-centric sounds are shades of electronica, dubbed out techno, and more, making the sixth installment of the series it's most far-reaching and satisfying to date.
