Innellea, Colyn, Braev 'Downfall' on Afterlife Records

Innellea, Colyn and Braev have joined forces for 'Downfall', which has arrived on Afterlife Records. The Extended Mix is out now.

'Downfall' is led by harmony rather than percussion. Steady work from the drums means the track moves but the focus never strays from the strings and voices that ripple across the top end, which are loud and forward with little movement under the peaks. A middling top end keeps the mix in the sweet spot of the club system while the colours in the melody keep the heads up. It is the kind of record that will slip into a set and hold the room without calling attention to itself. It has been picked up by Cassian, who placed it sixth on his chart for 'Lençóis (Love Me)' in January.

This is the first release for Innellea, Colyn and Braev on Afterlife Records since November, when they contributed to the Realm Of Consciousness Pt.VI compilation, a gap of 35 days. The label last released a single in September with Argy and Omnya's 'Aria'.
