Kabi (AR) 'Spicy' on Plaisirs Sonores Records
Kabi (AR)'s 'Spicy' arrives on Plaisirs Sonores Records, filed as progressive house and released on 28 July, the label's third release of 2023 on Beatport, out of three so far this year. Enamour placed it eighth of 10 on the Body Test chart, posted 10 August, as Lisbon and Berlin move through August.
'Spicy' leans more on chord than drum, with a lot of incident running through the percussion. It runs loud, with little give under its peaks, and a moderately bright top end keeps the mix present without tipping into anything harsh.
Kabi (AR) has previously signed to Replug and The Soundgarden, and 'Spicy' marks his first release on Plaisirs Sonores Records; he was last seen on Plattenbank in May, with 'No More Words / Just a Matter of Time'.
