Kotiēr 'Higher' on Diynamic
'Higher' is Kotiēr's fifth release on Diynamic this year, released on 7 February and filed as Melodic House and Techno, as the Tulum season moved into its second month. Enamour placed the track 10th of 10 in the 'JACKPOT' chart on 5 February; the same list placed Severin Su and Kadosh (ofc)'s 'Let Me See You' in the Enamour Remix, on Monaberry, at third.
Percussion leads 'Higher', its drum pattern steady and even, sitting at a moderate level with room to move beneath the peaks. There is a bright, lit quality across the top end that gives the record a natural lift. It is a clean, well judged piece of melodic house, unfussy in construction and generous with energy, built to sit easily inside a longer set.
