Luccas Deo, Proxxy (BR) 'Echoes' on Almar

Miss Monique placed 'Echoes' 11th of 13 in her own The Morning After chart on 24 November, a chart topped by her own 'The Morning After', with Paul Thomas, on Armada Music. 'Echoes', credited to Luccas Deo and Proxxy, arrived on Almar on 22 December, filed as Progressive House.
Luccas Deo's catalogue includes two releases since June 2023, on Protagonist Recordings and Superordinate Music; the most recent before this was 'She's Real', in the Remixes, on Superordinate Music, in November. The harmony runs this record, with a thick run of percussion beneath it. The mix sits loud and forward, with little movement under its peaks, and the top end runs temperate, a dense, driving read that leans on rhythm over space. A finish of 11th of 13 is modest, but a two-artist debut collaboration landing on a chart this size at all is a start worth noting.

The composition "Echoes" aims to transition from one emotion to another, more "dark" and more "joyful", giving it weight and dynamics. Created in collaboration, the track seeks to bring a mixture of emotions, exploring reflection, emotion and ecstasy. The strong and expressive tones that change throughout the track create a cohesive narrative. "Hallucinate" is a track that features distinctive and sentimental elements designed to express all the emotion and effort put into the track. Featuring a more "dense" and awe-inspiring atmospheric drop, it unfolds with expressive and vibrant melodies, combining the tastes of both producers. Enjoy!
