LUCH, Landon Ryle 'Barely Open feat. Landon Ryle' on Unreleased Records
For the eight release of 2025 and ninth overall, Unreleased Records introduces "Barely Open" from LUCH, featuring the voice and words of Landon Ryle. The release comes after the label's February cover of Benchek's "Nothing Left," and as the label's latest single arrives, the Tulum season is winding down, making it a fitting soundtrack for those final, reflective moments.
"Barely Open" is led by harmony rather than percussion. Sparse drums sit at a middling level, with moderate movement beneath the peaks, while the top of the track stays dark. Landon Ryle's vocal work threads through the arrangement, drawing on themes of vulnerability and the fragile nature of letting someone in. The result is a record that prioritizes feeling over force, allowing space for the melody to breathe.
The track has already found its way into Izhevski's chart for Regatta, placed ninth out of ten, alongside cuts from Deco (BE) and others.
