Miss Monique 'Blue Moon Factory' on MAHOOL

A new week in the Tulum season brings another instalment of Miss Monique's chart, and for the week of 25 January she has made the title track of her new MAHOOL record the top of her Blue Moon Factory.

'Blue Moon Factory' is the Ukrainian DJ and producer's first release of 2026. Built around 127 BPM, the Extended Mix leads with harmony rather than percussion, and if the percussion is there throughout it is neither crowded nor thin, always up in level with the peaks barely clear of the body of the mix. The top end is moderately bright, and the synths carry the sort of melody that works in the early evening light as well as through the first hours of the night.

Miss Monique has been a consistent presence at the front of melodic house and techno for years, and her Siona Records banner has been one of the genre's reliable outlets. 'Blue Moon Factory' continues the run, and it lands on MAHOOL, a label last covered on these pages when Solomun released 'Don't Give Up' there in mid-November.
