MORGANJ 'Elettronica' on When Stars Align

MORGANJ's 'Elettronica' is released on the When Stars Align label. It is the 13th release of the year on the label and it comes from MORGANJ, who takes a fresh step on the label for this first release in 2025.

'Elettronica' is made of a tone over rhythm. Little incident in the drums; all the interest is in the movement in the synthesis and the play of level and timbre within the notes. It pushes up in level and is moderately free beneath the peaks. The highs are forward, so the listener catches the rising harmonics as they open up, then are lifted and carried over the duration of each note. The drums keep the track, perhaps surprisingly, as a floor tool, with just a mild pressure in the bottom.

Oliver Heldens picked up the track ahead of release and slotted it in 14th of 20 on his Oliver Heldens Essentials chart on 15 July, and will play Ushuaïa Ibiza on 20 July on a bill that includes Kygo (Opening Party), Matt Sassari, and Xandra. It is high season in Ibiza and Mykonos, so his support is timely.
