With the extended mix released on his Protocol Recordings label just yesterday (1 Dec), 'Mahoya' arrives as the fastest of the four Progressive House records in this week's chart, running at 132 BPM, with the other records' tempos coming in between 122 and 132.

Sonically, 'Mahoya' is a lean, muscular record: more drum than chord, built around a spare drum figure that keeps the track moving forward. The production is quiet in level with the peaks well clear, but bright in the treble, which gives the record a clean, open sound that still lands with force when the kick hits.
