Nōpi 'Scorched Land' on DAYS like NIGHTS

A dense hit pattern, tone over rhythm, loud with the peaks moderately clear, and bright in the treble. That's what the listener hears on Nōpi's 'Scorched Land' in the Extended Mix, which is out on DAYS like NIGHTS. It follows his previous works on the label this year.
'Scorched Land' is a masterclass in tension and release. Nōpi layers a relentless percussive drive with shimmering melodic motifs, creating a soundscape that feels both expansive and meticulously detailed. The track's hypnotic pulse and soaring pads make it a versatile tool for DJs, equally suited for warm-up sets or peak-time moments. The Extended Mix allows the arrangement to breathe, giving the subtle harmonic shifts room to unfold.
The release adds to Nōpi's busy 2024, marking his eighth release of the year. His output has been steady, with nine records so far, demonstrating his consistency and creative flow. The track has already caught the attention of tastemakers, with Eelke Kleijn featuring it at number five in his Lost Strings Favourites chart on 12 August. Notably, three of the ten records in that chart come from DAYS like NIGHTS, highlighting the label's current strength.
With its blend of rhythmic precision and melodic depth, 'Scorched Land' is another strong addition to DAYS like NIGHTS' catalogue.
