Roger Martinez 'Die Magische Tijd' on HIGHER STATES

For the last weeks of the Tulum season, Yulia Niko's Melodig chart (Week 15, 2026) has given a spot to 'Die Magische Tijd' remixes, 17th of 20. The release, out 10 Apr via HIGHER STATES, holds remixes from Ricky Ryan & Futura City and Montw. In its notes, the label writes:
"Roger Martinez's 'Die Magische Tijd', first released on GEM Records in 2012, is one of those rare pieces of electronic music that seemed, even at the moment of its arrival, to belong to no particular time at all. The title says it plainly: That Magical Time. Now, fourteen years on, HIGHER STATES returns to the source. Ricky Ryan & Futura City and Montw are invited to step inside that original vision and deliver two very different perspectives on a track that has lived long enough to mean different things to different people."
The remixes arrive at 127 BPM; in the audio, the percussive layer does the work, a thick run of percussion at a restrained level that keeps headroom, under a middling top end.
The original's author, Roger Martinez, has more than 100 releases since 9 February 2007, mostly on Superordinate Music (10), Proton Music (nine), Vapour Recordings (eight), and Soundteller Records (seven).
