SGX, Dave Ruthwell, Brodie Nero 'Get Down' on Make The Girls Dance Records

'Get Down' is the sound of a label firing on all cylinders. It is the sixth release of 2025 from Make The Girls Dance Records, who have already put out nine records this year, and it arrives with the full weight of the label's current momentum behind it.
The track itself is a tightly coiled piece of Afro house. A percussive groove sits at the front, with a bassline that moves in close conversation with the drums. The vocal is a simple, effective command: get down. There is no need for more. The Extended Mix lets it breathe, giving the rhythm room to lock in and stay there.
The single lands in Cape Town at the start of the summer, and it arrives with a stamp of approval from HUGEL, who placed it at tenth on his most recent FMX chart. That chart was a notable one for the label, with nine of its ten places going to Make The Girls Dance releases, a sign of the label's reach and the consistency of the music it is putting out.
