Shrii, Ooshmann 'Dreamer' on Sounds Of Khemit

Label bosses Shrii and Ooshmann team up on Sounds of Khemit for 'Dreamer', the first new release of 2024 on Beatport and the only one on the label this year so far. The label has been a consistent and vital source of organic house music and this track is a powerful example of their vision. The Extended Mix is a polished and subtle piece of work that lets the drums carry the composition, with a regular percussive figure holding the groove together, as the track sits in the middle space of the mix and refuses to rise to a conventional peak. The top end is neither bright nor dark, but remains clear and precise. The label has been quiet since their last release on 7 December when Alex Galvan arrived with 'Dreamer'.

'Dreamer' has already been picked up by Nhii, who has placed it at number five in his recent 'Mystery of the Sun' Charts. Nhii has included two other Sounds of Khemit records in the same chart, placing 'Be My Lover' at number six, a record covered by this magazine on 30 July. Three of the ten records in the chart come from the label, a strong sign of the label's standing in the scene.
