Steve Parry, Four Candles 'Mysko' on Selador

Steve Parry and Four Candles bring 'Mysko' to Selador in the Hernan Cattaneo and Mercurio remix, filed as progressive house and released on 1 August, as Ibiza and Mykonos move through high season. Cattaneo placed it third of 10 in his 2009 chart, posted 28 July, and was on the bill at 528 Ibiza on 3 August, on a night that also carried Kevin Di Serna.
The remix keeps the percussion out front, stacking hits at a steady, driving clip while the mix leaves real room under the peaks, sitting at a temperate level with a fair amount of give rather than pressing hard against the limiter. The top end carries a moderate brightness, enough to lift the record without tipping it into glare, giving it the kind of even, controlled surface that works across a set rather than only at its loudest point.
Selador was last covered on 30 September, with Dave Seaman's 'Two By Two', and this remix keeps the label's progressive line moving through the middle of the Ibiza season.

The label said
Selador, Bandcamp about text · sourceIn the notoriously fast-moving world of music, such longevity can be hard to find, especially in an era of short attention spans and soundbite culture. It thus only seems right and proper to hail Dave Seaman, Steve Parry and their Selador imprint for reaching its 200th release.
To put that into some sort of context, that's way more music than the two previous era-defining labels Dave was involved with, Stress in the 90s and Audio Therapy in the 00s, combined. The 12 years Steve has spent co-helming Selador eclipses the time he spent front and centre at the legendarily influential 3 Beat store. All this at a time when the music marketplace has never been more saturated or harder to navigate in the quest to gain visibility for music you believe in.
Steve & Dave don't need to do this. Both well into their fourth decade in the acid house trenches, each possesses an impressive CV, and is not short of work. But nothing drives these two electronic music titans more than the search for new music, the buzz of hearing something special for the first time, and the hunger to help bring it into the world, nurture its development, and share it with as many like-minded souls as possible.
Selador has proved to be a significant player in terms of sourcing and developing new talent in the arena they dub "house, techno and all flavours in between", as is shown across those 200 releases. It has also proved to be a trusty vehicle for Steve and Dave to release many of their own productions, the benchmark set by their peers on the label roster driving the duo to ever greater heights.
It is thus fitting that the 200th Release Project features 12 brand new and exclusive remixes courtesy of friends old and new, all of whom have reworked some of the bosses' classic productions.
Spread across three thrilling 4 track EPs released throughout August 2025, this celebratory collection brings together an array of talent from around the world covering a multitude of genres within the electronic club realm.
