Sudhaus, The Wash 'Spectron' on Mango Alley

'Spectron' is Mango Alley's 14th release of 2023 on Beatport, of 24 the label has put out this year up to 9 July 2023. First released 20 April, the package was remixed by Jamie Stevens. The track quickly earned the attention of Sébastien Léger, who placed the Jamie Stevens Remix at 10th out of 10 in his June Blazing Kiss EP chart.

Sudhaus has 15 releases to his name since 26 January 2015, mostly on YOMO Records (eight), Monstercat Silk (two), Black Hole Recordings (two). The most recent before this was 'Solar / Rays' on YOMO Records, 15 July 2022. This is Sudhaus, The Wash's first release on Mango Alley since 16 March 2023 ('Mindworm'), a gap of 35 days.

'Jamie Stevens Remix' of 'Spectron' has as much harmony in it as percussion. There is plenty happening across the drums, with the track's levels rising up high, the peaks barely clear. The top end is neither bright nor dark, but sits right in that zone of clarity. It does not feel muddy, and it does not feel harsh, and has a sense of space and depth across the stereo field that rewards on headphones as much as it does on a club system.
