Tony Finger's 'Cantare' is an exercise in restraint. At 120 BPM it is the slowest of the eight Afro House records on this chart, and while its neighbours push harder into percussive pressure, this one holds a steady, even hand between drum and tone. The hit pattern is plain and regular, the mix rises in level with peaks barely clearing, and an airy top end leaves space for the ear to wander.
