Vesy 'Bigger Plates' on Hoomidaas

BERLIN, Hoomidaas continue to consolidate their year: 'Bigger Plates' is the label's fourth release in 2023 on Beatport, out of six it has put out so far in 2023, all of them up to 1 October. The record has been remixed by Pedro Capelossi, and it has also been charted by the LikeMinded boss Armen Miran, who placed it 15th in his LikeMinded 004 chart on 27 September, one of ten Hoomidaas records in the chart.

This is a record the drums run, with the percussion leaving a lot of room for the chords. It is a middling record in tempo and in texture, with some give beneath its peaks, and some light up top without much glare. Capelossi's remix works in the label's preferred spaces: organic textures, a broken beat, and a slow, meditative rise.

Hoomidaas' last release was Dave Pad's 'Tie Zerq', covered on 8 August. In his LikeMinded chart, Armen Miran also placed Hraach's 'Pigments', on Hoomidaas, at number three, a record covered in the last Hoomidaas story on 8 August. 'Bigger Plates' is out now on Hoomidaas, with the Capelossi remix.
