IBIZA, 4 Jun

Leyva, Kristen Knight, Eric V 'Fiera' on UNDR THE RADR

Kristen Knight, credited on 'Fiera', played Tomorrowland Store Ibiza in Ibiza on 4 June this year, part of a night billed as Roger Sanchez presents: The SPECTRUM Album Launch.

Roger Sanchez himself also played that same night, part of the same lineup alongside Carly Wilford, Gabriel Marchisio and Tom McRae at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza.

Leyva, Kristen Knight and Eric V's 'Fiera', in the Roger García Remix, is out on UNDR THE RADR, an Afro House cut released on 13 February this year, well ahead of that Ibiza date.

Roger Garcia's earlier release, 'EDC Mexico 2023', came out on Insomniac Music Group on 17 February 2023, part of a catalogue built mostly around King Street Sounds and Street King, dating back to 2021.

The remix itself runs at 126 BPM, Camelot 9A, percussion carrying most of the work, the rhythm plain and steady throughout, and the whole mix loud and pushed forward with some movement, staying mostly beneath its own high points right through to the end.

Xashes, Human Rias 'Mindless' on ATLANT

Human Rias, credited alongside Xashes on 'Mindless', was on the bill at Ritter Butzke in Berlin on 6 June, alongside Eelke Kleijn, Katzengold and shot by stanley. The track, on ATLANT and filed as Melodic House & Techno, was released on 5 June, as Berlin settled into early summer. Yulia Niko placed it 16th of 23 on her 'Melodig Week 17' chart on 4 June.

ATLANT was last covered on 23 June, with blaktone's 'Paris'. ATLANT introduced the release with its own words: "this release channels that same spirit of distance, curiosity, and transmission into the unknown. Experimental, powerful, and built for the dancefloor."

Drums sit over harmony on a busy, forward figure, loud and pushed with little movement under the peaks, and a bright top end keeps the whole track alert rather than settled. It is an urgent, high energy return for the label, built with real drive rather than atmosphere, and having Human Rias on a stacked Ritter Butzke bill the following night puts the record in good company.

Montaigne, GROSSOMODDO 'WAQI' on Make The Girls Dance Records

Ibiza's Make The Girls Dance Records rings in June with its 30th release of 2026, an Afro house rework by Montaigne and GROSSOMODDO titled 'WAQI.' The track, in its Extended Mix, comes two months after Montaigne and GROSSOMODDO last released on the label with 'Toledo,' and a short while after the label's January dispatch, HUGEL's 'Jump & Shout.' The label, which works under HUGEL's direction, has now put out 40 records so far in 2026, with this being the 30th in an order that's been rolling out across the year.

'WAQI' is a track that knows its weight. The drums and the chords sit side by side, balanced so that neither dominates the other. The drums leave plenty of room, letting the arrangement breathe as it moves forward and squeezes tight beneath the peaks, while the top end stays half bright, glowing without blazing. It's a groove that fits the season, the Ibiza season settling into its rhythm, and Faul & Wad, who charted the track seventh of ten on June 5, have already given it a spin.

Emre Altuğlu 'Sanctum' on Sanctuary Music

When a track comes from Emre Altuğlu's 'Sanctum', it lands with a quiet confidence that rewards close listening. The new single for Sanctuary Music, out 5 Jun, sits inside a 124 BPM frame and keys of G minor, but the numbers barely capture what the record does. The percussion does more of the work than the harmony. The surface is busy, though the mix stays low in level and opens up under its peaks, letting a bright top end ring through. It is a sound built for the subtle shifts of a long set, and evidently Yulia Niko agrees. She placed the record 19th of 23 in the Melodig Week 17 chart on 4 Jun, published from Berlin in the first days of summer.

The release date lands in a month that is already shaping up for Sanctuary Music. May was the label's busiest in the last twelve months, with five releases across it. June stands at one so far. Whether the label intends to keep that pace or let the summer breathe, 'Sanctum' makes a strong argument for the value of patience.

Carlos Pineda 'El Poeta' on Nervous Records

Nervous Records continues its remarkable run of Afro House releases with 'El Poeta' from Carlos Pineda, marking his first release on the label since Atlantic back in March 2024.

It's a rich and layered track that has already picked up notable support. Adam Ten placed it at number eight in his recent chart for the release 'I NEVER KNEW' on 2nd June, giving it a prime position among 15 carefully selected cuts. The production balances rolling percussion with melodic warmth, creating a hypnotic groove that carries strong dancefloor appeal without losing its emotive depth.

'El Poeta' arrives as Nervous' 64th release of 2026, with the label showing no signs of slowing down. It follows on from a busy period that saw the label drop Renate and Presi On's 'Lluvia (feat. Çantamarta)' back in November, and adds to a catalogue that has already seen 73 releases across the year.
