Greenage, Den Macklin 'Carousel' on Rubicunda

Rubicunda has released 'Carousel' by Greenage and Den Macklin. The label describes the track as, "Like a bright flash of solar energy, this summer opens with a track from two talented producers. The melody twists, spins and moves, like a carousel, drawing you into its cycle, where you want to stay for one more round."

'Carousel' is a progressive house track that feels built for long, open-air sets. Its percussion is detailed and layered, with a harmony that sits under the groove and a top end that stays bright without ever turning brittle. There is a temperate quality to the arrangement, with enough give under the peaks to keep the energy rolling without forcing it.

The release comes as Amonita has placed the track ninth in The Game Chart on 7 September, a chart where four of the fifteen records come from Rubicunda. It is one more sign of how the label's sound has continued to thread through the wider scene this year.
