At 150 BPM, Nitefreak, Mavhungu and Choujaa's 'Mulalo' is the fastest of the 12 Afro house records this week, whose tempos run from 118 to 150 BPM. The extended mix lands on Deep Root Tribe, filed as Afro house and released on 22 August, as Ibiza moves through the closing weeks of its season.

Francis Mercier placed it 12th of 20 on his Elegibo chart, posted 6 September, a list where four of the 20 records sit on Deep Root Tribe.

Neither the drums nor the harmony fully takes the lead here; the drum figure stays busy without dominating, and the mix runs high in level with the top flattened hard against the peaks. It stays half bright rather than sharp, giving 'Mulalo' a dense, driving push that matches its pace.

Deep Root Tribe was last covered on 24 April, with AVÖ (PT) and Jawora's 'I Don't Know', and 'Mulalo' pushes the label's catalogue toward the faster end of its Afro house range as the Ibiza season winds down.
