Hannes Bieger 'Illusion' on Awesome Soundwave
It is the start of a brand new year and that means it is time for new music. Hannes Bieger is already on the board for 2025, with his new record 'Illusion' on Awesome Soundwave, and he has already found a fan in Carl Cox. The DJ placed the record second in his ASW Trax Vol 1 chart on 16 January 2025, a selection that includes 18 records, all on Awesome Soundwave. There is something about the label's techno sound that Cox has clearly tapped into.
As with much of Bieger's work, the record is produced with high-end mixing and mastering and sits loud in the mix. A spare drum figure is the backbone, balanced between percussion and harmony. Beneath its peaks there is a fair amount of movement, and there is little light up top, leaving a focused, powerful sound that works best when the system is turned up.
'Illusion' is the first release of 2025 on Awesome Soundwave.
