Solomun is right on top of this one. The Diynamic boss slots Meduza and GENESI's 'Freak', featuring Aya Anne, at sixth in his 1/4 2025 chart. It's a record that's found favour elsewhere too, with Meduza placing it third in their Edge Of The World chart.
The release, which marks Diynamic's seventh of 2025 and arrives just ahead of their tenth, has become a key sound of the closing weeks of the Tulum season. It is a record where the harmonic layer does the work. The drum figure stays busy underneath, kept low in the mix and open under its peaks, with a bright top end that lets the melodic content cut through. It is a smart, functional record that rewards close listening as much as it does the dancefloor, and it is easy to hear why Solomun has taken to it.

Title track “Freak” features vocalist ‘Aya Anne’ with her assured and assertive vocal being manipulated and rebounding back and forth against the driving, relentless beat. “Run” is a ‘coiled spring’ of a record, building the tension to a deliberate and specific point where the beat sets you free, only to build to the climactic point where the synth stab delivers pure euphoria. “Take It” rounds up the EP as a dusky club sound with its airy and atmospheric sonics giving visions of flashing strobe lights and hazy silhouettes in a bustling dancefloor.
