Reboot 'Sherbet' on Rhythm Cult

Rhythm Cult marked its release of 'Sherbet' by saying the label "marks a decade of groundbreaking music with a special compilation," as the end of summer settled over Cape Town. The Funk D'Void Remix of Reboot's 'Sherbet' is filed as Progressive House on Rhythm Cult, released on 14 November last year. Cedric Gervais placed it fourth of 10 in the 'Cedric Gervais & Sick Individuals' chart on 7 March.

Reboot brings 78 releases since June 2008 to the remix, mostly on Get Physical Music and Defected, with 'Dark Moods' on Mood Child, from October last year, the release just before this one. Funk D'Void adds 33 releases since October 2001, mostly on Natura Viva, Toolroom, Bedrock Records and Tronic, with 'Black Trip 9' on Natura Viva Black, also from October, his most recent before this. An even hand splits drum and tone across the remix, its pattern settled and its level loud, with little give under the peaks and a half bright top end. It is a sturdy, dancefloor ready piece of progressive house built on two long, well stocked catalogues.
