Samson, KIMONOS, Sounds Of Rituals, Kuuda 'Alemagou - Samson Remix' on Rose Avenue

Samson's remix of 'Alemagou' lands as the 14th release on Rose Avenue in 2024, which has now put out 17 records in the past year. It features KIMONOS, Sounds Of Rituals, and Kuuda, and arrives in the middle of a peak season in Ibiza and Mykonos. The result has already been charted by Gorje Hewek, who placed it second among 23 records in his recent Desert Voice chart, where three of the records included came from Rose Avenue.

The remix balances drum and tone with an even hand. Plenty of activity sits across the drums, while the mix stays high in level and flat under the peaks, with a muted top end that leaves space for the vocal and keys to cut through. Its balance between texture and drive makes it a record that works on the floor and at home.

Rose Avenue was last covered on 12 August with Enamour's 'Body Test', and continues its steady run of melodic and Afro-leaning house releases through the summer.
